Clear Creek ISD is pleased to announce ReadyRosie, the District’s newest online resource, is now available for free to all parents, caregivers and educators who live within the district’s 13 communities. The added resource will further enrich the District’s early education efforts aimed to promote the long-term benefits of launching the learning process long before kindergarten.

What is ReadyRosie?

A parent is their child’s first teacher. The ReadyRosie resource provides early education tips and insights to help adults teach the youngest learners, from age 0 to 5, new things through simple and easy strategies. These strategies lead to student success beginning in Pre-K and kindergarten, impacting the child’s entire education journey. Research has proven that the experiences children encounter at an early age provide the basis for brain development and directly impact how their learning skills and social and emotional abilities will develop in later years.

ReadyRosie delivers weekly informative two-minute videos, interactive activities and early education insights right to the mobile device of the subscriber. These videos and activities help turn everyday activities into meaningful interactions and learning opportunities while helping to develop early literacy skills. The videos and activities are available in both Spanish and English.

Registering for the FREE Resource is Easy

In partnership with ReadyRosie and the H-E-B Tournament of Champions Trust, CCISD is launching a community-wide awareness campaign to connect any and all parents and caregivers of children ages 0-5 with the interactive resource. Access to ReadyRosie is easy and anyone living within CCISD boundaries may register and immediately begin receiving links to the videos and resources. Here’s how to register:

Step 1: Go to www.ccisd.net/readyrosie

Step 2: Select the green “Register Here” button

Step 3: Enter your home zip code (Only zip codes in CCISD may enroll under the District program)

Step 4: Follow the instructions and enter the information requested in the fields

Step 5: Select the blue “Register” button

Once registered, parents will begin receiving weekly emails and/or text messages with videos and activities. The free subscription also allows parents to download the ReadyRosie mobile app for their iPhone or Android device. Parents will have access to the entire ReadyRosie video library, including ReadyRosie Baby.

For subscribers with limited access to the internet, the website also includes a list of locations with free Wi-Fi including local libraries, your neighborhood schools, restaurants and retailers.

Soar, Don’t Slide, This Summer!

CCISD and ReadyRosie are also providing a way to keep family engagement efforts going throughout the summer with Summer Soar (www.readyrosie.com/summer-soar ). Summer Soar is an 8-week series of curated video playlists designed to give families relevant ideas, games, and activities throughout the summer. Every resident within CCISD has access to this resource and every family who is registered to receive ReadyRosie modules will begin receiving the Summer Soar content on June 12, 2017.

In January 2017, all Pre-K teachers in CCISD began incorporating the ReadyRosie videos and activities in the classroom. Additionally, 800 parents are already enrolled and actively using ReadyRosie with their children at home, blending the strategies into their everyday activities, from shopping at the grocery store to playing at the park.
