New Leaders for the New School Year in Clear Creek ISD

As students and staff in Clear Creek ISD prepare for the new school year, many will be greeted by a few new or familiar faces on August 22. CCISD has announced the following leadership changes:

Clear Creek Intermediate

Clear Creek Intermediate has named Marshall Ponce as the school’s new principal. Ponce was previously the assistant principal at League City Intermediate.


Clear Path Alternative School

Jerry Herd has taken the principal position at Clear Path for Sandra Davenport, who retired this past year. Herd was previously the principal of Clear Creek Intermediate.


Westbrook Intermediate

Stephanie Cooper, previously the assistant principal at Westbrook Intermediate, will assume the principal role at the school. Former principal Stephanie McBride has moved to the Clear Creek ISD Education Support Center as the new executive director of professional learning. Nicole Hicks, previously a science teacher at Clear Lake Intermediate, was named as the new assistant principal at Westbrook.

Brookwood Elementary

Kathy Gouger, former Ward Elementary principal, has moved to Brookwood Elementary as the school’s new principal. She replaces longtime CCISD principal Ann Arrington who retired this year.


Ward Elementary

Sara Konesheck, former assistant principal at Ward, has assumed the principal role in place of Kathy Gouger who moved to Brookwood Elementary. Travishia Pickens, formerly a math/science instructional specialist in Spring ISD, was named as Konecheck’s replacement as assistant principal.


Clear Brook High School

Sheridan Henley was named dean of instruction at Clear Brook High School. Henley was formerly an assistant principal in Pearland ISD.
